Last
Friday, we left Roxburgh and moved to Queenstown by Intercity Bus. This was my
4th to Queenstown. Tomorrow will be another time, 5th
because we want to “use” the facilities (Kitchen) of XBase. Last Friday, we
stayed at XBase Queenstown and the next day we moved to Te Anau. That’s day, we
booked a rental car online, but the next day, the officer told us that’s the
cars were fully booked, we have no car! No choice, we were only looking for
another car rental but all the car rentals told the same… FULLY BOOKED!
But… we
asked Apex also told us fully booked, lucky Ivan was on the spot online
searching and making reservation. We get success to book a car as paying $40+
to rent a $80+ car… YAHOO~ Toyota Camry. Get a car, we are starting our
journey.
1st
day: (18/02/2012)
We were at
Te Anau… the weather was bad, raining the hold day but we still walked around
except the lake. Te Anau is a convenient place. We bought a lot of foods at
Fresh Market. Besides, there have a lot of shops especially the souvenir’s
shops and we met a lot of Taiwanese. The famous food in Te Anau is Pie… we ate,
I ate steak/bacon & mushroom ($5.50) … not bad! At night, we went to Holidays Park (Top 10) cooking our dinner and took bath w/o paying for using! This was my first time, COOL~ and we packed the car and slept in the car at an illegal camping ground, but, today early morning, we get the warning, lucky not fine us!($200)
P/S:
yesterday candy and her friend at omaru have an accident, but lucky they are
safe!
2nd
day: (19/02/2012)
Today,
after received the warning, we went to public toilet to clean up then have our
breakfast outside the toilet’s car park. Ivan and I ate yesterday’s Mc D burgers.
Jun and Vicky ate the pie’s shop cashier gave sandwiches.
After that,
we went to Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound.
MS: we went
to the ferry terminal, walked around the lake, went to view Lake Martin (3hrs
return track) and Mirror Lake (Nothing, bcs windy)
DS:
nothing…
P/S:
because we are not booking the tour, so get nothing.
On the way
to DS, a girl joined our car to her BBH. This was my 1st to fetch
stranger.
As the
same, we walked illegally into a BBH and cooked our dinner and having there.
After that, we went to the same holiday park to take bath!!! Second time…
because we need to save and cut cost, so that what we can do! Have a good
experience!
Tomorrow we
will go to Queenstown and Wanaka… again, sian~!
3rd
day: (20/02/2012)
We have a
good sleeping until 10am and departed to queenstown… the main point went there
was because of Xbase, cooking! Again did a bad! After cooked and took our lunch
at XBase, we went to Wanaka. Hanging around, and all ways round to Haast We
stopped at a camping area, that need to pay but we didn’t. This journey was fun
and made a lot of illegal stuffs!
4th
day: (21/02/2012)
We left
Haast and went to Lake Paringa, Fox, Frans Joseph, Whataroa, Harihari, Ianthe,
Ross, Hokitika, and Greymouth. All the ways were raining… some of the towms are
nothing special, we just past by and moved on to the next.
5th
day: (22/02/2012)
Today, I
was online at Greymouth Library… finally I got free wifi in south island. Don’t
know where to go, so four of us just online at the library.
Finally, I
got a job at Spring Creek… Vineyard Orchard. At the moment, I try to contact
the host and get the job. We departed on Greymouth to Spring Creek at around
2.30pm and arrived Spring Creek was 8.30pm… all the way raining.
We went to
Pancake Cave to have a look under the heavy rain! This was ready not a good
trip… everyday raining!
At the
night, I cooked them instant noodles… I ready touch to meet three of them (Jun,
Vicky and Ivan), before they left, I tear… I don’t know how long that I never
tear already! I gave each of them a hug!
Finally, I got
job…
